This User’s Manual provides an introduction to CaptureDent; a reference to its functions, screens, and controls; and tutorials to help you learn the software and become expert in its operation.

To go to a chapter or section of the manual, click the appropriate link in the navigational index on the left of any page. Click the “Contents” link to see a detailed table of contents listing all chapters and sections in the manual. You can jump directly from the table of contents to any topic.

When you’re ready to start using CaptureDent, you have two options:

• You can read through the rest of this introduction, then this manual’s “Configuring CaptureDent” chapter, or…
• You might prefer the more interactive approach of our Start-up Wizard, a compact program that will lead you through the same start-up tasks as the manual does — except it’s easy to view the wizard and CaptureDent together so you can follow along.
