The “Notes” page
On this page you can review existing notes that you have previously attached to images, bring up text notes to read, or bring up voice notes to hear. You can also edit existing notes and save them after updating.
Tip: To create a note, go to the “Review” page, select the thumbnail for the image to which you want to attach the note, then click the “Text note” or “Voice note” button to create a new note.
The note-card index
The leftmost portion of the “Notes” page contains a vertical list representing the top edges of a set of filing cards. Each of the “card edges” shows the caption of one note. For a text note, the card will be pale yellow and there will be a text note icon in its upper-right corner. The card for a voice note is pale blue and has a tape cassette icon in the upper-right corner.
To read a text note, or to audition a voice note, click the card edge in the index stack. The topmost edge of the selected card will be highlighted with a dark stripe in a color matching the card itself, and the right side of the page will change to provide access to the note.
The note display/edit area
The right side of the page contains a group of controls that changes to match the kind of note you’ve selected. At the top is a text box to display the caption of the selected note (and to let you edit it, if desired).
After selecting a text note, you’ll see a large box below the caption, which displays the note’s content. You can edit this text; just be sure to click the green check-marked “OK” button at the bottom right of the page to store your changes.
After selecting a voice note, the large text editing box will be replaced by a group of controls that allows you to play back your recording. These resemble the controls in the “Voice recorder” dialog box, except there is no “Record” button; the controls behave identically to the dialog box controls as well.
